1981 Miss World Pilin Leon

Carmen Josefina Leon Crespo from Venezuela, top known as Pilín Leon became the titleholder of Miss World 1981. The 31st Miss World Pageant contest was organized on 12th November, 1981 at the Royal Albert Hall, London, United Kingdom.

Pilín Leon (b. Maracay, Aragua state, Venezuela, May 19, 1963 became the second Venezuelan who won the crown of Miss World after Susana Duijm in 1955.

In 1981, Pilín Leon was the foremost celebrity for permutation on the Christmas lights in Oxford Street. She had an extraordinary look having white skin and Asian type eyes. She was looking so gorgeous in evening gown in green colored designed by Piera Ferrari.

Pilín Leon was honored by Venezuelan Government by naming a petroleum ship with Pilín Leon’s name yet politics issues on 16th July, 2003, the name of the ship was altered into “'Negra Matea” as a historical woman in Venezuela.
The year 1981 was memorable for Pilín Leon as a respective pageant crown was won by her.
