2010 Miss Universe Jimena Navarrete

Miss Universe 2010, the 59th edition of the pageant, was held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S. on August 23, 2010. It was hosted by Bret Michaels and Natalie Morales. Ximena Navarrete, Miss Mexico, was crowned Miss Universe 2010 by outgoing titleholder Stefania Fernandez from Venezuela.

Jimena Navarrete Was born on 22 February 1988 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. 22 year old Jimena Navarrete is a professional model and she studied nutrition prior to her participation in beauty pageants. Jimena Navarrete, will be taking an extended break from her studies towards a nutrition degree as she assumes her role. But she will be able to draw on her knowledge of nutrition to offer tips for staying healthy with HIV - one of the health issues she will address during her reign. She speaks Spanish, English.

With her win in Las Vegas tonight, Navarrete becomes the second Miss Mexico to win the Miss Universe title, following in the footsteps of Miss Universe 1991, Lupita Jones.

2006 Miss World Tatana Kucharova

Miss World 2006, the 56th Miss World pageant was held at Sala Kongresowa, the main 2,897-seat auditorium at the Palace of Culture and Science, Warsaw, Poland on the September 30, 2006. It was the first time ever that the pageant was held in a European city other than London, United Kingdom, having previously been held there in 2002 after the Nigeria Controversy.

Taťána Kuchařová Was born 23 December 1987 in Trnava, Czechoslovakia, now Slovakia. She has finished the high school and started studying an International Diplomacy collage. Tatana Kucharova is an 18 year-old student from the Czech Republic. Tatana has also become a very well known fashion icon. The most famous designers are choosing her for their collections. As a teenager she was doing occasilonally modelling. At the age of seventeen she took a part in "Miss CR 2006" which she has won.

Tatana Kucharova won the Miss World 2006 beauty contest on Saturday 30 September 2006. It was a first time in history when a Czech or Slovak girl won this comeptition.

Her hobbies include tennis and horse riding and her personal motto in life is "Always be an Optimist."

2005 Miss World Unnur Birna Vilhjalmsdottir

Miss World 2005, the 55th Miss World pageant was held at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, People's Republic of China on December 10, 2005. Nine former Miss World titleholders and chairwoman of Miss World Organization Julia Morley judged the pageant. Miss World 2004 María Julia Mantilla of Peru crowned her successor Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir of Iceland.

Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir was born 25 May 1984 in Reykjavík, Iceland. Miss Island Unnur Birna Vilhjalmsdottir, a 21-year-old anthropology and law student was crowned Miss World 2005 and became the third Miss World from Iceland. Unnur who describes herself as an ‘organised, ambitious and good-humoured’ person, won the hearts and minds of the judges at the 55th Miss World contest, held for a record third time in the southern Hainan province in China. She beat beauty queens from other 101 countries.

Her mother, Unnur Steinsson, won the Miss Iceland pageant in 1983

Unnur Birna Vilhjalmsdottir has been studying anthropology at the University of Iceland and next autumn she will commence her studies in law as she plans to graduate as a lawyer, as well as an anthropologist. During the summer of 2005 Unnur Birna temped as a police officer at Keflavík International Airport. She is the chairman of the college social club and teaches dance.

She is interested enjoys acting, singing, all types of dancing, snow-boarding, hiking, camping, horsemanship and has a special talent for choreography and playing the piano.
